The Çifte Minareli Medrese (Twin Minaret Madrasa), located in Erzurum, is a monumental madrasa of the Seljuk period dating to the late 13th century. It takes its name from the pair of brickwork minarets rising on either side of its crown portal.
With its open-courtyard, two-storey, four-iwan plan, it is counted among the masterpieces of Anatolian Seljuk architecture. The rich stonework of its crown portal, adorned with a tree of life, a double-headed eagle, and vegetal motifs, is among the most magnificent examples of the stone carving of the period.
