In the process until 1389, which is accepted as the principality period of the Ottomans, Murad I is seen as "the last Ottoman Bey". In this period, in which many new practices regarding the organization of the principality came into force, a monography on the maritime of the Ottomans has not yet been seen. In the first half of the XIVth century, while a picture of Western Anatolian Turcoman principalities was drawn for Turkish maritime, Ottoman maritime was overshadowed by these. While the activities of these principalities were silenced by the European naval forces in the second half of the century, the period between the transition to Europe and the reign of Bayezid I on the Ottoman front still remained silent. In this period, which coincided with the reign of Murad I, both the Ottoman expansion in Europe and the domination of other principalities in Anatolia took place despite a waterway (Strait of Gallipoli) separating the continents. This research focuses on revealing the extent of the naval power behind the politics and land wars during the reign of Murad I and the activities of the Ottoman principal fleet.
